Bland tasting chili

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We havent had our favorite Nalley Original chili for a few months. We purchased some to make for dinner tonight.

We both agree that it had ZERO flavor. We have been eating this chili for 50+ years in my family so we recognized a change in flavor right away. Dinner was ruined. There were no seasonings in the chili at all.

Bland was an understatement there was no flavor at all.

Neither of us finished our bowls. Change Americas best chili back to the way it used to be.

User's recommendation: Don’t buy this canned trash. Make your own at home and add some good seasoning to it.

Opened a can of Nally chili from a case we purchased. I found a chunk of rubber in it after choking on it. We have a case left and nobody wants to eat any of it.

Quality of Nalley's chili

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have purchased Nalley's chili for over twenty years, and within the last six months, I have noticed a change in the quality and taste of its chili. The cans now are over 1/2 liquid, and the beans have changed, which leaves a totally different taste than in years past.

This was always a staple in our home with three children to feed, but I'm wasting my money on today's Nalley's chili. I'm very, very disappointed - it's too bad that your company had to resort to adding more liquid and a poorer-tasting bean to strengthen your demand. My family and several members of my extended family will no longer buy this product and will look for a much better tasting chili.

Thank you (I'm not sure if this complaint will even be read, let alone change the quality of Nalley's chili). Barbara Oelhafen

Nalley Original Chili Con Carne with Beans

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My husband and I have favored your above referenced beans for years. It was always thick and tasty.

We loved it.

The last couple of cans I threw away. When opened we poured so much water out. It had a few tiny little things I guess I would call meat and a few beans. I guess this is how you are saving money and cutting back.

I wont be buying your product again.

We find your product is no longer edible. You should quit making it.

Watery Chili

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The new recipe for Nalley Chile that they have changed to is EXTREMELY watery. It has changed dramatically.

Its more like Chile soup than chili. I have purchased a couple more cans thinking it was a fluke or bad batch, they are all the same. Now I have 7 cans that are terrible.

This is like Coca-Cola all over again, dont change the formula when it was perfect. When can we expect to get Nalley Chili Classic with the old formula?

The label is now wrong for what is inside the can.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I'm a type one diabetic. I have to trust the label to give my insulin.

Nally's chili is not at all what it used to be, and I'm experiencing extreme low blood sugar to prove it. This could be life-threatening for me.

I'm open to a lawsuit. As a dietitian as well, I'd be good to have on board.

The hot chili has been watered down and is not good anymore

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have purchased my last can of Nally's chili. Whoever had the bright idea of adding more water is an idiot; it ruined the chili.

I would rather have a smaller can of the original than the watered-down version you are selling now. It not only changed the texture; it changed the flavor also. It's close to a soup now and does not make for a good chili dog, as it destroys the bun and just makes it a soggy mess.

Shake the can; it moves like soup. The old chili didn't move if you shook the can.

Preferred solution: Go back to the way it was before you watered it down

Bally chili not edible

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Can full of water and flavorless beans and not sure its meat. When made in Tacoma it was very popular brand of chili.

My grocer has practically removed Nalleys from shelves. I have chosen Dennisons chili as my favorite for canned chili.

Whoever owns Nalleys now should be ashamed and sued for calling that garbage .. chili!

To talk to someone

We purchased a product (Nalley Dill pickles) at north Spokane Costco that has yellow dye #5 in it- -dangerous to health. Furthermore, the pickles have a Nalley label but are made by a company called treehouse/bay valley foods--doesnt even sppear to be a Nalley's product and then us putting DYE in the pickles!!

Please stop putting unsafe ingredients in products. Also put the correct label on products made by another food company..dont purcase pro

Or minimal at best. Yuck!

Change in Quality

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Nalley's Chili, until about a year ago, was my favorite canned Chili. No more.

Gone are the days of a solid product when the can was opened, replaced with a very watery, soup-like experience. Oh, it still tastes much as it did but has no body. Who made this change? Less meat and more beans?

Did you think that we consumers wouldn't notice?

Take us back to the previous formulation, even if it means paying more. Thank you.

We recently purchased a case of Nalley's chili from Costco.

I ate half of a can and at the bottom of the bowl found what appears to be a bone with hair on it...possibly a mouse at some point in time?

We won't be eating the rest of the case!!!

Watered down chili

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have been enjoying Nalley's Chili for years. Then, I took a break but had some from a couple of years ago.

It was thick and yummy. When I saw the prices went up, I had to get a couple more, and when I got home, I opened a can and it spilled. Chili in a can like soup? I thought it was just a bad batch, but I bought a couple more and again, they were watered down.

The cans went from 75 cents to over 2 dollars. Not only did the price go up, the quality went down.

Now, I make my own chili as it is so thick when hot, a spoon will stand up in a bowl, and Nalley's Chili is like soup. I would not suggest this, as once it was good, now it's watered down.
